In this regard, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack said, “According to last information that reach us, he is supposedly on the way back from Ranchi to Bhubaneswar. He has been recovered by Jharkhand Police. Bihar, Jharkhand and Twin City Commissionerate Police have worked together in this case. Whatever assistance was required or solicited from us was given. In fact, we had positioned a police team beyond our state for assistance if required. Since the investigation was of Giridi district ( in Jharkhand), we were in a passive role in the sense that we were extending assistance as and when solicited by them. But, we had taken care to place our team, that is, pre-position our team so that in case they need our help we are available.”
In reply to the query if anyone from Odisha is involved in the case, the Commissioner said, “Those things we will be able to reach if get a report from Giridi SP, which he have requested.” He added.
