Puri: A day after the district police slapped lookout notice against absconding BJP’s Satyabadi MLA candidate Om Prakash Mishra, he surfaced on social media defending himself as innocent.
As per the video gone viral on social media, elusive Om Prakash Mishra is heard defending, “I appeal that this incident must be thoroughly probed into. The role of the administration and the culprits involved in booth rigging must be probed impartially. Stringent action must be taken against those who are found guilty.”
“If I’m found guilt during this impartial probe, I’m ready for the punishment.”
Notably, absconding Om Prakash is the prime accused for allegedly attacking a Presiding Officer and damaging EVM machines as well as threatening and intimidating the polling officials during the Phase-III (April 23) election in Odisha.
The incident has taken place at Booth No 78 of Birakesarpur under Satyabadi assembly constituency under Puri Lok Sabha seat in which two accomplices of Om Prakash have already been arrested while the cops have issued a lookout circular against prime accused Om Prakash Mishra who is on the run now.
