Bhubaneswar: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments/repatriation of officers at the Additional Secretary / Additional Secretary equivalent level and Joint Secretary / Joint Secretary equivalent level across the country.
As per an order issued by the ACC under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training), Odisha-cadre IAS officer Dr Krishan Kumar has been posted as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Dr Kumar, an IAS officer of the 2002 batch is currently posted as the Secretary, Works Department and also holds the key post of Chief Administrator, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
“The ACC has confirmed the appointment of Krishan Kumar as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” the order stated. The post of Joint Secretary of Department of Commerce was held by Shyamal Misra, a Haryana-cadre IAS officer of 1996 batch.
