Bhubaneswar: An accused reportedly escaped from the Chandaka Police Station in Bhubaneswar, exposing the lax security measures within the police premises.
The accused, identified as a resident of West Bengal, was being interrogated in connection with a mobile phone theft case.
According to reports, the accused pretended to vomit and managed to escape while being taken to the bathroom. In the process, he pushed two constables and fled the scene. The incident has raised concerns about the security protocols within the police station.
Meanwhile, police have initiated a manhunt to nab the accused, and efforts are underway to recapture the accused.
