Bhubaneswar: The three accused in Manish Anurag murder case underwent a lie-detection test on Tuesday. The lie-detection tests were conducted at State Forensic Sciences Laboratory at Rasulgarh.
A case has been registered in this connection at Infocity police station. The accused were booked on kidnapping and murder of Manish Anurag, whose body was recovered Namrakani pond in Patrapada under Tamando police limits in here on October 10.
The polygraph report cannot be produced in the court as an evidence but it assists the police in investigation. DCP Uma Shankar Dash said, a thorough investigation is underway in this case.
“The accused have shared vital information while they were in police remand. The polygraph test helps in investigation. We can corroborate the information obtained from the accused with prima facie evidence and other aspects of the probe,” Dash said.
