Bhubaneswar: Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty’s father Abhay Mohanty passed away at their Nandi Sahi residence in Cuttack on Thursday.
Mohanty died following a prolonged illness. He was 74.
According to family sources, Mohanty who was undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailment for a prolonged period, breathed his last at his residence in Cuttack today.
Mohanty had recently undergone kidney transplantation at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Anubhav Mohanty is a Lok Sabha member from Kendrapara. He was elected on a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ticket.
