Bhubaneswar: Odia actress Naina Dash Tiwari will make a film on Nagada which is in the limelight for malnutrition.
She along with her producer brother-in-law Abhaya Pati, sisters Asmita Pati and Sachu Tripathy recently visited Nagada and took stock of the situation. She also inspected the government infrastructure there.
They visited several families in Upara Nagada, Majhi Nagada and Tala Nagada to experience the customs, traditions, social system and the lifestyle of common Juanga tribe.
Then actress and the producer discussed the multifaceted problems with the people. They also met a newly-wed couple. The actress also enquired about the health condition of the children.
She said that the film will mainly focus on the natural beauty of Nagada and the culture of its inhabitants.
Producer Abhay Pati said he is keen on making feature film on Nagada and the incidents surrounding it.
The movie’s cast will be finalized soon, he added.
Nagada, a revenue village and habitation of Juang Primitive Tribal Groups, in Jajpur district is in the limelight for malnutrition and poor government facilities. It is surrounded by mountainous forest from all sides.
