Bhubaneswar: Renowned actress and filmmaker Nandita Das met with Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Literature and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj at Lok Seva Bhawan today to present proposals aimed at promoting Odisha’s rich cultural heritage on the global stage.
During the meeting, Das emphasized the need for strategic initiatives to showcase Odisha’s art, dance, music, and crafts to international audiences, while also attracting more tourists to the state. She sought the government’s active support and collaboration to realize these goals.
Responding positively, Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo assured that the government would extend all necessary assistance to advance these cultural promotion efforts. Minister Suryabanshi Suraj also praised the proposals, describing them as important steps toward preserving and enhancing Odisha’s cultural identity.
