Bhubaneswar: In response to complaints of amassing disproportionate assets, officers of Odisha Vigilance are conducting simultaneous searches in the properties and office room of Umesh Chandra Jena, Additional Director, Directorate of Mines in Bhubaneswar. The searches started on Friday morning to detect assets possessed by him and his family members.
According to an official statement issued by Odisha Vigilance, 10 DSPS, seven Inspectors and other staff are conducting raids at five places on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, against Jena.
Searches are being conducted at five locations belonging to Jena in Bhubaneswar and his native village at Sirispal in Keonjhar district.
In addition, the Vigilance officers are searching a building located at Gamaharia, Jena’s in-law’s house at Ghasipura and five other places in Keonjhar district.
