ADJ Court Rejects Bail Plea Of Hansita Abhilipsa & Her Aide In Duping Case

Bhubaneswar: The court of Additional District Judge-2 of Bhubaneswar declined bail to Hansita Abhilipsa and her aide Anil Mohanty, who were arrested by the Commissionerate Police for allegedly duping several high-profile personalities in the state.

As per reports, the court had reserved its judgment on their bail plea after hearing the arguments on January 18. Today, the court has rejected their bail pleas.

On the other hand, the Commissionerate Police have moved the court seeking a 5-day remand for the duo. The Special Crime Unit has filed two cases against her. Additionally, there are allegations of flesh trade against her. The duo was earlier remanded and during interrogation, the police had gathered crucial information.

The investigating team is seeking to gather more information regarding their alleged involvement in human trafficking and therefore, will move to court to seek their remand again.

Notably, Hansita and her accomplice, Anil, were taken into custody by Bhubaneswar police on December 31 for allegedly siphoning off funds. They posed as the daughter and son-in-law of PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to carry out their fraudulent activities.
