Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by being ranked the 12th best medical college in India in the India Today-MDRA Best Medical Colleges Survey 2025. In addition, the institute proudly secured the 2nd position among the Top 10 Emerging Medical Colleges nationwide, underscoring its rapid growth as a leading institution in healthcare and medical education.
This prestigious recognition reflects AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s steadfast dedication to academic excellence, innovative research, and compassionate patient care. The survey, conducted by the prominent media house India Today in collaboration with Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA), assessed medical colleges across five critical parameters: Intake Quality and Governance, Academic Excellence, Infrastructure and Living Experience, Personality and Leadership Development, and Placement and Career Progression.
Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, expressed his pride in the achievement, stating, “This recognition is a reflection of our relentless pursuit of excellence. Since ranking 25th in 2021, AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s rise to 12th position in 2025 is a testament to the institute’s visionary leadership, collaborative spirit, and sustained hard work. AIIMS New Delhi retained its position as the top medical college in the country.
To commemorate this significant milestone, a felicitation programme was held on campus, attended by senior faculty and administrative officials, including Dean (Examination) Dr. Soubhagya Kumar Jena, Medical Superintendent Dr. Dillip Kumar Parida, DDA Lt. Col. Abhijit Sarkar, Registrar Dr. Sudipta Kumar Singh, and other distinguished faculty members.
