All Banks In Odisha To Remain Closed On Monday For Nuakhai

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced September 9 (Monday) as holiday for all banks and financial institutions in the State on account of ‘Nuakhai’.

The Revenue and Disaster Management department issued a notification in this regard.

Earlier, the state government announced a holiday for all the government, government-aided and private schools, offices and magisterial courts in the state for Nuakhai.

The Nuakhai, a major agrarian festival will be celebrated on September 8 (Sunday). As the festival is celebrated on Sunday, the government announced the next day as a public holiday.
