Bhubaneswar: The Ganjam district administration has closed all sea beaches and other major water bodies in the district for the public in order to avoid large gatherings during the upcoming festivals.
All sea beaches in Ganjam such as Gopalpur, Sonapur, etc, and other major water bodies shall remain closed for the public from January 13 to 17, read a tweet from the official handle of Ganjam Collector.

The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) had yesterday instructed all Collectors to prohibit congregations at water bodies, for the observance or celebration of upcoming local festivals or festivities, to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
