**Bhubaneswar: ** Pursuing his regular review and interaction with the rural populace twice a week since the launching of Odisha Government’s flagship programme ‘Ama Gaon Ama Vikash’ on March 5, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday (April 27) sanctioned Rs 1.40 crores on the spot for 30 rural projects of 4 Gram Panchayats (GPs) in 4 districts.
The four GPs are Baro in Kendrapara district, Sanatribida in Angul district, Kudaloi in Jharsuguda district and Gudari in Kandhamal district.
While Rs 35 lakh has been instantly approved for 7 projects of Baro GP, Rs 35 lakh for execution of 8 projects in Sanatribida GP, Rs 35 lakh for undertaking 9 projects in Kudaloi GP and Rs 35 lakh for 6 rural projects in Gudari GP.
As has been a part and parcel of the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Vikash’ programme, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held video conferencing from the State Secretariat with the concerned GPs. He asked the respective Sarpanches to present the developmental schemes of their localities. Then and there accorded his seal of approval and sanctioned the requisite funds from the State coffers.
While the people present there thanked the Chief Minister for his unique rural development initiative, the Chief Minister sought people’s cooperation in this rural development programme. The Chief Minister also advised the rural populace to complete the sanctioned projects soon and in a proper manner.
During the video conferencing and sanctioning of instant funds, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Development Commissioner R. Balakrishnan, Panchayati Raj Principal Secretary Deoranjan Singh and the concerned District Collectors were prominent among others present.
