BJP Mahila Morcha national chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar informed media that their party’s national president would discuss with the women’s wing office bearers on a plethora of issues. Also the meeting would prepare a roadmap for women empowerment in the country as well as Odisha.
As per the tentative programme of Amit Shah’s Odisha visit released by the State party unit, the BJP national president would arrive Puri Atharanala at 11:45 am, Puri Circuit House at 11:55 am, Gundicha Mandap Saradhabali at 12:10 pm, back to Circuit House for lunch at 2:00 pm, reach Golden Palace for inaguration of the Mahila Morcha national executive meeting at 3:15 pm and Puri Sri Mandir darshan at 4:30 pm before departure.
During his last Odisha visit on July 1, Shah has already advised his party leaders and workers to reinforce the party base at the grassroots.
Close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s one-day whirlwind tour on Saturday (September 22) last week, Amit Shah’s visit holds significance for the saffron party rank and file here as Shah has already set his Mission Odisha-2019 target of 120+ seats out of the 147 Assembly seats.
The frequent tours of PM Modi and Shah are deemed to be their obvious focus on Odisha and galvanizing the party cadres.
