Bhubaneswar: Wife of Ollywood actor Amlan Das, Bhumika confirmed that it was indeed an accident when she fell into Mahanadi yesterday. In a video posted on her social media page, she also requested to not spread rumours against her husband and family.
Sharing her side of the story, Bhumika clarified that she had fasted yesterday and hence was feeling weak. Along with Amlan, she had Madhusudhan Bridge on Mahanadi river to immerse holy items after Puja as the customary rituals. “My head was reeling due to weakness and I was also wearing high heels. My foot slipped and I fell into the river,” said Bhumika in a self-shot video.
She adds,” I request everyone to not spread false rumours against my family and my husband.”
After the accident, Bhumika was saved by alert locals. After that both Amlan and Bhumika had arrived at CDA Phase-II police station and the actor had clarified on the same.
The duo, Amlan and Bhumika got married in February earlier this year.
