Bhubaneswar: Scheme for regularization of unauthorized/deviated constructions through compounding in development plan area (Amnesty Scheme or Sarva Kshyama Yojana) implemented in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively in 2007 and 2009 have yielded Rs 48,63,67,000 towards compounding fees, informed Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena in the Odisha Assembly here today.
In a written reply to a question by BJD member from Khandapada Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Jena said that while the Scheme for regularization of unauthorized/deviated constructions through compounding in development plan area in Bhubaneswar implemented in 2007 had yielded compounding fees to the tune of Rs 35, 61, 60,000, the Scheme implemented in Cuttack in 2009 had yielded Rs 13, 02, 07000 towards the collection of compounding fees.
He added that while 4,596 applicants had applied for the aforementioned scheme in Bhubaneswar, 4,080 had applied in Cuttack.
The Minister said that under the “Scheme for Regularization of Un-authorized Constructions” 2018 & 2019 as many as 5,719 have applied to Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), 1,027 to Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), 69 to Sambalpur Development Authority (SDA), 56 to Puri-Konark Development Authority, 59 to Kalinga Nagar Development Authority, 45 to Angul-Meramundali Development Authority, 33 to Paradip Development Authority, 240 to Berhampur Development Authority and 387 to Rourkela Development Authority.
