Bhubaneswar: One of the 10 anacondas at the Nandankanan Zoological Park on the city outskirts here died on Wednesday.
The anaconda which was housed in enclosure no. 46 with nine other anacondas was not keeping well over the last few days and had stopped taking food since yesterday. Though it was under the treatment of the zoo veterinarian it died in the early hours today.
It was one of the eight yellow coloured anacondas Nandankanan Zoological Park received as gift from the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology.
