Keonjhar: BJD MLA from Anandpur Bhagirathi Sethy on Tuesday resigned from the party expressing displeasure over ticket allotment.
In a letter to BJD president Naveen Patnaik, he resigned from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday.
“I, Shri Bhagirathi Sethy do hereby resign from the primary membership of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) with immediate effect, “he wrote in his resignation letter.
The ruling party recently dropped Sethy’s name from the list of party candidates, replacing him with Abhimanyu Sethi from Anandpur.
Earlier in the day, two former MLAs Surendra Sethi and Bijay Kumar Naik also quit the BJD citing negligence.
