Malkangiri: An anganwadi worker of MV 69 village under Padia block was killed due to lightning here on Monday. The deceased was identified as Anima Biswas. The mishap occured when Anima was working on the verandah of her house. Two of her family members sustained injuries in the incident.
The deceased’s husband had died one year back and she is survived by a two-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter. Local police have registered a case and sent the body of the deceased for autopsy.
