Anganwadis Operating From Elementary School Premises In Balasore Dist To Serve Mid-Day Meal To Students

Balasore: The District Education Officer (DEO), Balasore has written a letter to the District Social Welfare Officer (DSO) to instruct Anganwadi Workers in Anganwadi Centres functioning in elementary school premises to ensure the opening of the schools in time to prepare mid-day meal by cook-cum-helpers and serve to students attending the school.

It is pertinent to mention here that due to the ongoing strike by elementary school teachers of the State, the teaching and learning and mid-day meal programme of elementary schools have been affected.

The DEO pointed out that many of the Anganwadi Centres are functioning on the premises of elementary schools of the School & Mass Education Department.
