Angul Youth Attempts Suicide After Torching House

Angul: A youth attempted suicide after setting his house on fire at Khamar village under Chhendipada police limits in Angul district on Thursday.

Reportedly, the youth identified as Khukunu Behera is suffering from mental illness. After setting his house on fire, he cut his own neck and stomach with a knife.

He was rescued by locals and admitted to Chhendipada Community Health Centre (CHC). The fire brigade and police were called to the scene and a probe was initiated.
