Another 23,792 Senior Citizens Receive COVID-19 Vaccine, No AEFIs Reported

Bhubaneswar: A total 28,260 beneficiaries were vaccinated for COVID-19 in Odisha today. According to the data shared by the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, there were 237 sites where vaccination sessions were held out of which Covaxin was administered to the beneficiaries at 22 sites.

Among those vaccinated today, 23,792 persons were above 60 years of age while 1,042 persons were between 45 and 59 years and had comorbidities.

Total 528 healthcare workers received the first dose of the vaccine today while 2,104 HCWs got the second dose. Among those vaccinated, 786 were frontline workers. Overall, no AEFI was reported across the State.

Total, 56,033 persons above the age of 60 have been vaccinated so far in Odisha while 2,116 persons in the age group of 45 to 59 (having comorbidities) have received the COVID jab. Till date, Odisha has recorded vaccination of 6,96,750 beneficiaries, the H&FW department informed.
