Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood now lies over south Coastal Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The trough now runs from the cyclonic circulation over south Coastal Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood to central parts of north Uttar Pradesh across Telangana, Vidarbha & West Madhya Pradesh and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level, it added.
Another cyclonic circulation has formed over the central parts of the south Bay of Bengal between 4.5 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level, the IMD further said.
The IMD has warned and issued a ‘yellow alert’ stating that under the impact of the system, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Rayagada, Angul, Koraput, and Malkangiri during the next 24 hours, while light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the rest districts of Odisha during the same period.

YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Rayagada, Angul, Koraput, Malkangiri.
Day-2 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 07.10.2022 Up to 0830 Hrs IST of 08.10.2022).
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
