Bhubaneswar: A first-year Computer Science student of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a hostel in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased student has been identified as Rahul Yadav, a resident of Chhattisgarh.
Infocity Police suspect it to be a case of suicide and have started an investigation.
It is pertinent to mention that this is not the first such case in KIIT. Earlier, Prakriti Lamsal, a third-year B.Tech student from Nepal, was found dead in her hostel room on February 16, 2025, sparking widespread protests and demands for justice.
