Baripada: Days after a man posing as a doctor administered a 55-year-old man in Thakuramunda block of Mayurbhanj district with injections meant for cattle, he had committed another such misdeed at Goudia Bahali village under Mahuldiha police limits of the district.
The accused identified as Biswanath Behera has given an injection for animals to one Daitari Mahanta of Goudia Bahali. The incident came to light after Daitari was admitted to Karanjia Sub Divisional Hospital.
Behera had on Sunday administered injections meant for cattle to Srikanta Mahanta of Mahuladiha after posing as a doctor of Thakurmunda CHC. He had administered three injections and had also handed over 15 tablets to Srikant to consume twice a day and charged Rs 470 for the treatment.
Meanwhile, police are searching for Behera at his native village Kantipal in Anandpur of Keonjhar district and other places.
