Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewed the government’s preparations for the release of the second phase of the first installment of Subhadra assistance.

Principal Secretary of the State Information and Public Relations Department, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Shubha Sharma, and the Department’s Director were present at the review meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan.

Garg discussed with the technical team regarding the smooth transfer of the first installment of Subhadra assistance to beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Notably, the state government aims to identify all eligible beneficiaries by March 8, 2025, after disbursing the first instalment to 1 crore beneficiaries.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that the second phase of the first installment will be distributed on October 9.

The disbursal process is ongoing, with approximately 98 lakh applicants registered under the Subhadra scheme so far. Officials have been instructed to complete the necessary arrangements by October 6. The Development Commissioner also suggested implementing a feedback collection process to gauge beneficiaries’ enthusiasm and how the financial assistance has impacted their lives.
