Bhubaneswar: In view of rising fresh Covid-19 cases in the country over the last few days, Director of Public Health, Odisha Dr Niranjan Mishra has advised people suffering from cold, cough and fever to isolate and get themselves tested for Covid-19.
Dr Mishra, however, informed that out of 10,000 tests only 25 are testing positive for Covid-19 which means the test positivity is a meagre 0.05%.
So, therefore, there is no reason to panic, he added.
The Director of Public Health said that Covid-19 infection graph will see such fluctuations of ups and downs.
Somewhere it will go up and somewhere it will go down, he added.
Dr Mishra further informed that District Collectors have been directed to isolate persons after necessary contact tracing.
India has reported 12,847 fresh cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, over 12,000 new Covid-19 cases for the second consecutive day and 14 deaths.
