Bhubaneswar: A day after the Commissionerate of Police confirmed the arrest of one Archana Nag on charges of blackmail and extortion, film producer Akhshay Parija lodged a complaint with Nayapalli police accusing her of the same.
Parija levelled allegations against another woman who befriended him on social media one and half years back. According to Parija, she asked him for casting her in his film.
Nag intervened in this case and threatened to viral his photo with the girl. She threatened him of dire consequences if her demands were not met, sources said. A copy of the purported complaint filed by Parija with Nayapalli police is in possession with Ommcom News
“Archana identified herself as a lawyer and blackmailed me citing that she has recorded obscene videos of me with her client. Archana had made a deal with me at a city-based posh hotel and demanded Rs 3 crore from me. If money is not given, she has threatened to kill me by cutting me into pieces,” the complaint stated.
DCP Prateek Singh said, “We received a complaint against Archana Nag which was lodged by a woman with Khandagiri police. The complainant alleged that she has been trapped by Archana, managed to snap obscene pictures and blackmailed her. Archana asked her to develop intimacy with Parija and blackmail him.”
The police have started a probe into the matter and action will be initiated as per further developments, he said.
