Puri: Miscreants armed with lethal weapons attacked the house of a teacher on Siddheshwar Mandap Street in the Nimapada police limits in Odisha’s Puri district on Wednesday night allegedly over previous enmity.
According to reports, about 10-15 inebriated miscreants attacked the house of Arun Mohanty and broke into the house after smashing the CCTV cameras installed on the premises. They even allegedly tried to kill the teacher and his family members but they somehow escaped unhurt.
The miscreants later brought a JCB machine and demolished a part of the teacher’s house.
On being informed, Nimapada police reached the spot and started an investigation. Some of the activities of the miscreants were recorded by the CCTV cameras before they were destroyed.
Meanwhile, the teacher and his family members are living in fear as no one has been arrested in this connection so far.
