Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, the OHPC presented its application for determination of the Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) and Tariff of its generating stations for FY 2022-23. OHPC has proposed to sell the total saleable design energy of 5619.24 MU during the ensuing financial year from all its generating stations excluding Machhkund.
OHPC has estimated its ARR at Rs 567.328 crore at an average tariff of 100.96 paise/unit for the FY 2022-23 for its generating station against the ARR approved for an amount of Rs 501.68 crore at an average tariff of Rs 89.28 paise/unit for the FY 2021-22 except Machkund power project.
OHPC has also proposed to sell 5 MW of power to the state of Chhatisgarh at an average tariff of 182.598 paise per unit during 2022-23. OHPC also has signed a revised agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh where it has been agreed to avail 50% of net shareable energy from Machakund hydro project w.e.f. 21.12.2020 for Odisha, at an average generation tariff of 110.903 paise/unit for the FY 2022-23 against the tariff of 137.29 paise/unit approved for the FY 2021-22.
The Consumer Counsel. WISE, made an analytical presentation of ARR proposed by OHPC for the FY 2022-23. Five nos. of objectors have submitted their objections/suggestions on various issues related to the ARR and Tariff proposal of OHPC and participated in the hearing. After taking into consideration the petition and objections/suggestions the Commission will pass the order in the last week of March 2022.
