Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Arun Bothra’s latest tweet about an incident at Jaipur airport is trending on the micro-blogging platform.
On Wednesday, Bothra, shared a picture of a suitcase filled with green peas. He Tweeted that the picture was taken at Jaipur airport, where officials asked him to open his carry-in bag for inspection.
Something unusual during scanning could have prompted the security personnel to ask for further checking. However, once the bag was opened the officials were startled to see a bag full of green peas.
Rest was history. Bothra’s tweet kept Twitterati’s engaged and with several retweets and likes. It was surely something unusual. According to Bothra, the Transport Commissioner of Odisha, he bought 10 kilos of green peas at Rs 40 per kg!

“Security staff at Jaipur airport asked to open my handbag,” Bothra captioned the picture. Cracking a joke, IFS officer Parveen Kaswan Tweeted: ‘Mutter Smuggling’, (mutter is green peas in Hindi).
The tweet amused social media users for sure, it gained a whopping 65,300 likes, 3,272 retweets and 770 quote tweets.
