Bhubaneswar: One person was injured in an explosion while allegedly making crackers in VSS Nagar area of the city today evening.
The injured person identified as Shiban Tadi a resident of CL colony of VSS Nagar area has been admitted to a private hospital here.
According to reports, Shiban was allegedly making crackers in his home at CL Colony of VSS Nagar at around 7 PM today when the explosion occurred.
So great was the impact of the explosion that the asbestos roof of his house was blown off while household articles lay strewn here and there. Shiban has been badly injured in the explosion.
On hearing the explosion locals informed the police. However, before the police could arrive locals rescued Shiban and got him admitted to a private hospital.
Police have sealed the house and are investigating the matter.
