Bhubaneswar: In the wake of the resounding victory of the saffron party in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday accommodated three BJP leaders from the state in his Cabinet. After Dharmendra Pradhan took oath as a Cabinet ministry today, Jual Oram and Ashwini Vaishnaw too found berths in the Modi 3.0 Cabinet today.
Jual Oram, who represents the Sundargarh Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha, was also a member of the 12th, 13th, 14th Lok Sabha and 16th Lok Sabha. He was chosen as one of the Cabinet Ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He took oath as a minister in the Modi Cabinet 3.0.
Ashwini Vaishnav, an IAS officer-turned-politician, served as the 39th Minister of Railways, 55th Communications Minister, and the second Electronics & Information Technology Minister in the Government of India from 2022–24. He is a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Odisha since 2019. Earlier in 1994, Vaishnaw joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the Odisha cadre and has served in different positions in Odisha. On Sunday, he took oath as a Cabinet Minister in the Modi Cabinet 3.0.
