ASI, 2 Constables Transferred After Accused Escapes From Lock-Up In Odisha

Keonjhar: An ASI and two constables of Anandpur police station in Odisha’s Keojhar district have been transferred on Thursday on charges of dereliction of duty. According to reports, an accused had escaped from the lock-up of the police station due to the negligence of these cops.

According to reports, Anandpur police had arrested Amar Sahu of Fakirpur village under Anandpur police limits on charges of robbery from a mobile shop. However, Amar sneaked out of the police station and somehow managed to escape. Later, the police nabbed the accused again from Fakirpur Beitrani Ghat.

ASI Anup Lubun and two constables Meenakshi Mallik and Brajkishore Naik, who were in charge of the police station at the time of the incident.
