Puri: Following the Orissa High Court order, a team of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) on Sunday inspected the construction work under Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project in Puri.
The team led by ASI Regional Director Khamari, comprised of Superintendent Archeologist Arun Mallik, and Assistant SA Chittaranjan Dash. They were accompanied by Collector Samarth Verma, officials of OBCC and Tata Projects at the construction sites.
The Orissa HC has directed the ASI to submit its affidavit pertaining to the construction under the heritage corridor project by May 7. The ASI team inspected the thickness and depth of the pillars, their location and distance from the temple, apart from other details of the construction work, sources said.
