Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance on Tuesday carried out raids on the premises of an Assistant Engineer of Rural Development, over the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.
The Vigilance conducted simultaneous searches in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Dhenkanal, at the residential and office premises of the aforementioned Assistant Engineer, Dusmanta Dehury, posted at Nimapara in Puri district.
Five Deputy SsP, 12 Inspectors, and other staff of the Vigilance carried out raids on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal at a flat in Sailashree Vihar, triple storeyed building in Chandrasekharpur and office chamber in Puri.
“Searches were also conducted at his house in Gunadei village under Matanga police limits in Dhenkanal, two buildings in Dhenkanal Town, house of a relative in Dhenkanal, and structures located on a land in Saptasajya (Dhenkanal),” the Vigilance stated.
Further probe and searches are underway to ascertain the assets, the Vigilance said.
