At 19.2°C, Bhubaneswar Breaks All-Time Record Of Lowest Maximum Temperature In March

Bhubaneswar: The State Capital Bhubaneswar on Wednesday (March 20) broke all-time record in the lowest maximum temperature in March with 19.2 degrees C.

Bhubaneswar city had last reported the lowest maximum day temperature of 24.3 degrees on March 6 in 1970. The record was broken today at 19.2 degrees C.

This is the lowest recorded maximum day temperature for the month of March from 1952 to 2024, the IMD stated.

The lowest maximum day temperature in March was 15.2 Degrees C which was recorded on March 4, 1990 while it was 25.7 degrees C on March 2008. The Capital city had recorded 27.1 Degrees C on March 5, 1990 and 27.4 degrees C on March 30, 1998.

Similarly, the lowest maximum day temperatures of 27.5 degrees C and 27.7 was recorded on March 9, 2017 and March 8, same year respectively.

Bhubaneswar city had witnessed 27.8 degrees C on March 11, 2016 and 28.1 lowest maximum day temperature on March 12, 2005.

Similalry, Cuttack city broke its all-time record of Lowest maximum day temperature in the month of March since 1902. The previous lowest temperatyure of 23.6 Degrees C was recorded on March 6, 1970 while the city reported 20 degrees C on Wednesday ( Mar 20,2024).
