At Least 10 Fall Ill After Gas Leak From Prawn Plant In Balasore

Balasore: At least 10 workers fell sick, some of them critically, after poisonous gas leaked from a prawn processing firm at Gadimala near Nilagiri in Balasore district on Thursday evening.

The sick workers include some minor girls, reports said. All the workers have been admitted to Nilagiri Community Health Centre.

The reason of the gas leakage remains unclear. Till filing of this report, no company officials reached the spot to take stock of the situation.

Meanwhile, police and fire services personnel rushed to the factory named Snow World Marine Exports Private Limited and started rescue operation
