Athagarh Police Arrest Murder Accused After 16 Years

Bhubaneswar: Athagarh police arrested an accused in connection with a 2009 murder case in Kendrapada district. He had been evading law enforcement for 16 years.

The accused, identified as Shrinibas Das, an aide of notorious criminal Suleman, was alleged to have been involved in a murder case. He had multiple cases registered against him at the Athagarh police station.

Shrinibas had been absconding for 16 years. Athagarh police, with the help of Dhenkanal police, arrested Das from the Balimi police station area in Dhenkanal. Police had been tracking Das for years. Das has been forwarded to court for further proceedings.
