Nuapada: A driver of a cash van meant for replenishing cash in bank ATMs went missing in Khariar area of Nuapada district today.
However, Khariar police seized the cash van after tracing it at Bharuakani, while the driver remains missing.
According to reports, the cash van was loaded with Rs 57 lakh cash.
An official of the Khariar police said that a probe is underway to ascertain the amount of cash left in the van if any.
While two employees of the cash replenishment agency and the security guard were refilling cash in an ATM, the driver fled with the cash van.
Police have sealed the main roads of Khariar town and are frisking vehicles to nab the absconding driver of the cash van.
