Attack On PCC Chief’s Car: Keonjhar Police Nabs 3 More Accused, Seizes Bolero

Keonjhar: Three more persons have been held in connection with the alleged attack on the car of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik and the scuffle with his personal security officer on January 17 evening hours near Kashipur in the district here.

Keonjhar SDPO also informed that Town police have also seized the Bolero used by miscreants during the attack.

While the three more arrestees have been identified as Sivananda Dehuri, Santosh Naik and Deepak Tarai, one accused identified as Sanjay Mohanty had been arrested earlier in the case on January 18.

Interrogation of the arrested persons is still on at the Town Police Station (PS) here.

Yet another accused is still at large for which a manhunt has been launched to round him up.

Notably, PCC chief Niranjan Patnaik’s car was allegedly intercepted near Kashipur under the Town Police Station (PS) limits during his visit to the district on January 17. His driver and personal security person were allegedly assaulted by the miscreants following which an FIR was lodged at the Town PS by the security person. The accused persons were in the seized Bolero and were all allegedly in an inebriated state.
