Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) is working on the auspicious time for the opening of the Ratna Bhandar tomorrow and is in possession of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to be followed, informed Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Chief Administrator, SJTA.
“The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration is in possession of the SOP to be followed during the opening of the Ratna Bhandar. We have held detailed discussions on that with Justice Biswanath Rath, Chief Secretary and at the personal level with the Gajapati Maharaj. Keeping with the suggestions given by all and the State government’s SOP authorising the Chief Administrator arrangements are being made to open the Ratna Bhandar tomorrow. We are working on the auspicious time for the opening of the Ratna Bhandar,” said Dr Padhee.
Dr Padhee said that they will first take refuge of Lord Lokanath and seek His blessings and get aagyan mala, then they will offer puja to Maa Bimala and will also take refuge of the Chaturdha Murti.
“With the blessings of all, we feel that the work will be executed as per the SOP. The SOP contains everything in detail. I am not entitled to disclose everything to you at this moment. First, there is an SOP for opening the lock, then there is an SOP for shifting the contents of the inner and outer Ratna Bhandar, and in the third phase there is an SOP for inventorisation of the contents. The entire SOP has been prepared and recommended by the high-level committee headed by Justice Biswanath Rath. Later it was discussed and recommended by the managing committee. As per the provisions of the Shree Jagannath Temple Act, the State government has approved it. The State government has also given in-principle specific instructions which we will follow,” Dr Padhee added.
