Bhubaneswar: Odia actor Tanmay Mohanty (Babushaan) deposed at the Kharabela Nagar Police Station on Saturday in response to the notice served against him to question him in connection with two separate cases pertaining to the recent controversy involving him, co-star Prakruti Mishra and his wife Trupti Satpathy. He was accompanied by his mother Aparajita Mohanty and his family friend Rabi Mishra.
Kharabela Nagar Police Station IIC Arun Kumar Swain informed that the actor was asked questions necessary for the investigation into the two cases and he cooperated in the process. Talking about the controversy and allegations, Swain said that it is a family issue and they are from prestigious families. They know well what is good for their family and they will act accordingly, however, the investigation is underway and the police will take action as per law.
It is pertinent to mention that on the morning of July 23, Trupti had allegedly thrashed Babushaan and co-actor Prakruti Mishra when they were leaving for the airport to board a flight to Chennai for an event. The video of this street fight went viral on social media stirring up a controversy. Prakruti’s mother Krushnapriya lodged a complaint in this regard at Kharabela Nagar Police and later in the evening, another complaint was lodged by Trupti.
