Balangir: Loknath Biswal, the BJD leader who had been shot by some miscreants at Bagdor village in Balangir district on Monday, revealed the names of his murderers before his death.
The video of his dying words spread on the internet, where he named three persons – Basu, Badabudha, and Nianta – adding that he didn’t identify two other persons.
Lokanath’s wife Banita Biswal was the newly elected Panchayat Samiti Member of Bagdor panchayat under Belpada block. He was the block president of the farmer’s wing of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
Reportedly, two youths visited his house to congratulate Lokanath on his wife’s victory. They allegedly fired at him before fleeing the spot.
Unconfirmed reports said police have detained five persons in this connection.
