**Balangir: ** In a tragic incident, a couple of lovebirds were found having committed suicide in the Hardabahali Reserve Forest under Lathor PS limits of a village away from their respective villages in the district here.
While the deceased boy has been identified as Hrushikesh Putel of Lathor village, the girl has been identified as Surekha Bag of Jamchhuan village.
The lovebirds committed suicide consuming poison in Phuljhar village in the Hardabahali Reserve Forest under Lathor PS limits and near the paddy field of Gopinath Banchhur.
While the cause of death was yet to be known, it is believed that both belonged to different castes and might have had no consent of their family members.
On Wednesday morning, land owner Gopinath had been to his land and discovered the death scene. He at once informed the Lathor police.
On the other hand, Surekha’s father not finding her at home on Tuesday night had filed a missing person case with the Lathor PS.
Police on being informed by Gopinath rushed to the spot and identified the duo.
Besides seizing the bodies for autopsies, two poison bottles, three razor blades, two cell phones and some amount of money have also been seized.
Bodies were sent for post mortem to Khaprakhol hospital.
An unnatural death case has been registered by the police and investigation was on.
