Bolangir: An Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Balangir Police has been suspended on charges of stealing two goats and having a feast.
Reportedly, ASI Suman Mallick of Sindhikela Police Station had stolen the goats from a nearby village a few days back.
When the owner of the goats identified as Sankirtan Guru tried to lodge a complaint, the police did not entertain him.
Following it, locals gheraoed the Sindhikela Police Station on Friday. Subsequently, the action was taken against Mallick and he was suspended.
