Robbers’ Car Crashes

Bhubaneswar: Balangir police late Tuesday night apprehended two men in Salepali village following a failed robbery attempt that ended in a car crash.

The suspects, residents of Puintala and Deogaon, are believed to be involved in robbery and illegal drug-related activities in the Balangir town area.

According to reports, three men tried to rob a local resident when a police control room (PCR) van noticed the incident. As the suspects fled in their car, a police chase ensued. During the pursuit, the vehicle collided with an electric pole, allowing one of the robbers to escape, while the other two were caught on the spot.

The arrested persons are currently being interrogated for their involvement in other robbery cases and illegal drug operations in the region.
