Balangir Youth’s Body Recovered From Well With Hands Tied; Foul Play Suspected

Bhubaneswar: A young man’s body was recovered from a well in Buromal village under Kantabanji police station in Balangir district.

The deceased has been identified as Surendra Bhati.

According to reports, Surendra was last seen grazing cattle in the village. When he didn’t return, his family members started searching for him and later filed a missing person complaint at Kantabanji police station.

Upon being informed, the police initiated an investigation, and during the search, Surendra’s body was found floating in a well located in a paddy farm.

The fire brigade team retrieved the body and were surprised to find that Surendra’s hands were tied with a rope, and a stone was attached.

The incident has sparked suspicion of murder, and further investigation is underway.
