Balasore: Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s here tomorrow.
Patnaik is scheduled to arrive at the Reserve Police Ground here tomorrow at 11.00 AM for launching the distribution of Smart Health Card under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in the district.
Over 19 lakh beneficiaries from 5,13,352 eligible families of the district will benefit under the scheme.
“Starting from tomorrow here in our district CM Sir will be launching Smart Health Cards under BSKY. There are 5.21 lakh eligible families and 19 lakh beneficiaries in the district. Arrangements have been made to complete door to door distribution of these cards in almost six days from after tomorrow,” said Balasore Collector K Sudarshan Chakrabarti speaking to reporters here.
Since the Chief Minister had taken personal responsibility for the development of Balasore district, he will inaugurate 77 projects built at an expenditure of Rs 376 crore and lay foundation stones for 109 projects to be built at a cost of Rs 1100 crore.
Chakrabarti informed that the CM will be inaugurating 77 projects and laying the foundation of 109 projects tomorrow.
Balasore Superintendent of Police Sudhanshu Sekhar Mishra informed that a detailed security arrangement has been put in place for CM’s visit tomorrow.
“Reserve Police Ground is the venue for the meeting. Barricades have been erected at the meeting place, helipad, and entry and exit points and apart from that the three adjoining roads have been barricaded,” said Mishra.
He said that two places-ITI Ground and Mission Ground have been identified for parking of vehicles.
While heavy vehicles have only one option-ITI Ground, for light vehicles there is a second option-Mission ground, Mishra added.
The SP said that 25 platoons of policemen will be deployed for the CM’s visit at the headquarters level.
